The preceding Blog was meant to be a straight from the heart statement as too how bad things are in our world. I have been told I have become "Dark" rather than the funny fun loving person of the past. I still have a sense of humor but unless we get serious about changing the things around us, we aren't worth anything to our families or our communities. No sugar coating anything. We need to start today.

Please consider this statement, "You doing something this morning can change a persons life this afternoon." Just do something. 

Have an amazing Chrismas....

Our world has pockets of greatness spread throughout it. This pocket can be people, families, communities, cities or towns, businesses, schools etc. It could be you! The concept of connecting these points of greatness is what the term “connecting the dots” is all about.

A friend once said “There are 4 billion geniuses in the world; they just don’t know it yet!” What a profound statement. Individual human lives which could be greater than they realize and do more than they believe possible; we just have to reach them. 

Leonard Mekalka the former Head of Transplant Surgery at Cedar Sinai Hospital in LA once told me that the human body can heal itself. He went on to explain if we just give the body a little electric shock near where it is injured (less than 1/100th of the power of a cell phone) cells will wake up and do what they were naturally designed to-do, promote healing and repair themselves.

I believe we are all meant to-do something with our lives. We have been limited by the people around us and our environment to not believe it is real or possible. We need a little shock. Imagine if that shock is from seeing or meeting someone that makes us look at ourselves differently or our surroundings differently?

I have made my life about connecting these dots of wisdom and genius, greatness and goodness, compassion and optimism. When people with a common vision meet, they both are changed. They start to create and take their vision to an entirely different level. If the vision can be matched with the competency of execution, anything is possible. Money is infinite and yet we all limit our dreams and passions to what we believe we can afford. I have found the number 1 way to get the money for something is to create an interest by creating consensus and thus creating teams that investors believe in.

We are not alone in this world. There are 100’s if not thousands of other people who believe in the same things we believe in, they just don’t know it! We need to meet them, and share our ideas and vision. It may be the shock they have been waiting for as well.

Physicists know that when two pieces of matter collide, they are both changed forever. If two people who have a common vision meet, they both can be changed; “Instantly changed”!

Our world is 30 seconds. This means we have 30 seconds to comprehend and 30 seconds to share. After this amount of time, we are wasting time, other people’s time. Books like Blink have shown us that we intuitively know what is right and wrong. Who is good and bad, who is for us and who is against us.

I want to accelerate the goodness and accelerate the eradication of badness in our world. We can change the world beginning in our own little world like our homes this afternoon if we want to. 

“Instant Change” is possible if we have access to people with more influence than ourselves on our team. In business we call them advisors, investor’s even customers. They can immediately connect us with other people we would only dream of being in relationship with. If we focus on the issues which benefit others not necessarily ourselves, miraculous things can happen. We can begin to instantly change our environment and those people we come into contact with. 

My favorite quote is by Roy Croft. He said “I love you not for who you are but for who I am when I am with you!” This is what life is all about. We make each other better because we surround ourselves with people who make us better.

Let’s change the world today even if it starts with just you. You can even change your friends, family and business associates through changing yourself. This afternoon we can not only create a new vision for our lives we can also begin determining who in our lives is helping us and who is hurting us.

I am excited for you and I excited about what we can do together! My Dot needs to meet your Dot and then we may create a new dot which not only includes you and I, but also other people we invite to join us along the way. We are building a bigger more noticeable dot, one that can’t be ignored. Do you get the vision? If I have influence that can become your influence, what could you do differently?

Let’s go change our world one life at a time because our world needs us! It may even result in “Instant Change!”
